Who we are

PromoMogul LLC (“PromoMogul”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates promomogul.com. This page explains our policies on collecting, using and disclosing personal information when you use our website.

Information we collect

What you type into the quote form: your name, company name, email address, phone number, the product you are asking about, the quantity, the date you need it and any notes you add. It is emailed to us and answered by hand.

What you give at checkout: if you order through the cart, Stripe collects your billing address, shipping address, phone number and card details on its own payment page. Card numbers never reach our servers. What comes back to us is your name, your email address, those addresses and what you bought.

If you sign in to your account: the email address you sign in with. We email a 6-digit code to it and keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of that code, which stops working after 10 minutes, with a count of wrong tries and of codes sent, so nobody can guess a code or flood an inbox. Your orders are then read from Stripe, where they already are.

If you join our monthly email: your email address, where you signed up (the cart, the footer or your account), the exact words you agreed to, the date and time, and the country your connection came from. Nothing finer than the country is kept.

What is collected automatically: our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which record the IP address, the browser user agent and the page requested, for security and troubleshooting. The quote form also holds the submitting IP address in memory for one hour, so that a single script cannot flood it. Nothing here measures how long you spend on a page, and nothing here builds a profile of you.

Email after your order

About a month after an order is paid, we send one email to the address on that order. It asks whether everything arrived the way it should have, and whether you would be willing to review it. It goes out once per order, and no follow-up sequence sits behind it.

If you would rather not get it, reply to any email from us, or write to info@promomogul.com and ask us to stop. Your address then goes on a do-not-mail list, which is checked before that email goes out, and you will not get another.

Our monthly email

You only get it if you ask: by ticking the box on the cart before checkout (it starts unticked, and your address is added only once that order is paid), by signing up in the footer, or by switching it on in your account. It carries deals and new products, about once a month.

Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link that takes you off the list the moment you open it, and you can also switch it off in your account or reply and ask. We keep a record that you unsubscribed, so you are not added back by mistake.

Sharing

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. We share it with the services we need to run the site and fulfill an order, such as our web host, our email provider, Stripe for payments and the shipping carriers, and each of them gets only what it needs to do that job.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets two kinds of its own cookies, plus the cookies of the Meta pixel and Google Analytics described below. The first are for signing in to your account, and only when you do: a short-lived one while you enter your code, and a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days or until you sign out. The second note which link brought you here, so an order can be credited to the right place: two cookies, pm_ft for your first visit and pm_lt for your latest, each holding only the campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source=pinterest), any ad click code it carried, the site you came from, the page you arrived on and the date. They last 30 days, are read only by this site, and reach us only if you check out, when they are saved with your order in Stripe, or send a quote request, when they are added to it. If you arrive from a Google ad and then order or ask for a quote, we share the ad click, the time and any order value with Google Ads to measure our advertising, and nothing else about you. Neither kind is used for anything else. To see which pages people read and where an order gets stuck, it counts visits and a few shopping steps, such as viewing a product, adding it to the cart, starting checkout and sending a quote request, using Vercel Web Analytics from our web host. It also measures how fast pages load for real visitors. Both work without cookies, are not tied to you or your IP address, and cannot follow you to other sites. The short-lived code they use to tell one visit from another is discarded after 24 hours. No names, emails or order details are included.

We use the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel for advertising measurement and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. When you view a page, look at a product, add to the cart, start checkout or place an order, the pixel sends Meta that event, the page address, the order value and the product identifiers, together with a cookie and browser details such as your IP address that Meta uses to match the visit to its own accounts. When you send a quote request or place an order, our server may also send Meta a copy of that one event, with your email address, phone number and name (and for an order, your billing city, state, ZIP code and country) turned into a scrambled code (hashed) before it leaves our server, plus your IP address and browser type, so Meta can match it to an ad view. We never send Meta what you write in the form or any card details. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of ads based on your activity in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, or with your browser's tracking controls. There is no other advertising pixel on this site. To leave your visits out of our counts, open any page with ?pm-analytics=off added to the address once; ?pm-analytics=on turns counting back on.

We also use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site. It sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id) that tell one visit from another for up to two years. For each page it sends Google the page address without anything after the question mark, except campaign tags such as utm_source that show which ad or post brought you, the site you came from (its address only, never anything after the question mark), your browser and device type and an approximate location that Google works out from your IP address, plus the same shopping steps listed above with product identifiers and order values. We send Google no names, emails or phone numbers, and Google signals and ad personalization are turned off for it. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy. You can block it with Google's opt-out browser add-on or your browser's tracking controls, or leave it out with ?pm-analytics=off as above.

Apart from the cookies above, your cart is the only thing this site keeps on your device. Your own browser stores it under a key named pm.cart.v1, it holds only the items and quantities you picked, and it never leaves your browser. Clearing your browsing data deletes it. Nothing about your cart reaches us until you check out.

Data security

We use industry standard security measures to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting info@promomogul.com.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to complete your order, answer a question about it, keep your artwork on file for a reorder, meet our tax and legal obligations, and resolve any dispute. When none of those apply any more, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their state. If you believe a minor has given us information, email info@promomogul.com and we will remove it.

Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States and your information is processed here. Some of the services we use to run the site, take payment and ship your order may process it elsewhere. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version always lives at this address, and material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.
