Feather, teardrop or blade

All three are tall, narrow advertising flags on a flexible fiberglass pole, the kind that marks a storefront, a car lot or a booth from the far end of an aisle. The shape decides how your artwork sits and how much of it people can read.

• Feather flags are tall and curved, like a feather standing on its end. Sizes 9, 12 and 15 ft; the printed flag is about 26 x 91 in, 31 x 127 in and 30 x 158 in. The long, narrow face suits a logo stacked over one or two words.
• Teardrop flags, also called teardrop feather flags, have a rounded top held in shape by a curved pole, so the face stays open and readable. Sizes 8, 10 and 14 ft. The wider face suits a round or square logo.
• Blade flags keep a tall, straight shape that holds your message upright and easy to read. Sizes 11 and 16 ft. It suits a wordmark or a short line of text.

The size is the nominal height of the assembled flag, not the size of the print. Email us for the artwork template and it shows the exact print area for the size you choose. Our flag buying guide compares the shapes in more depth.

What custom flags cost

What comes in a flag kit

Flag + poles + ground stake is everything you need to put a flag in the ground: the printed flag, a set of fiberglass poles and a ground stake. The flag slides over the assembled poles and the pole sets into the stake. It goes up in minutes.

The stake is for grass, dirt and other soft ground. For concrete, pavement or an indoor floor, choose the X base with water bag, which replaces the stake. Flag print only is the printed flag on its own, for poles you already have from us; if your poles came from somewhere else, email us first so we can check the fit. Poles and bases are not sold separately on the product pages, and we quote them by email.

Single or double sided

The flag fabric is a lightweight knit, so the print shows through. On a single sided flag the back shows your design in reverse, so words and most logos read backwards to anyone walking the other way. A double sided flag reads correctly from both sides, and each side can carry a different design. Choose it wherever people approach from both directions, such as a sidewalk, a parking lot entrance or the middle of an aisle.

Fabric, print and wind

Every flag is 110 g knitted polyester flag fabric, printed in full color by dye sublimation, so the ink becomes part of the fabric instead of sitting on top of it. A reinforced pole pocket runs the edge and gives the flag a black outline. For a close brand color, enter a Pantone code on the product page.

The flags are made for outdoor use and rated for winds of about 18 to 23 mph. Take them down in stronger wind, and let a wet flag dry before you store it. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water with a mild detergent, hang to dry, and skip the bleach.

Pole flags for a flagpole you already have

For a storefront bracket, a school or an existing flagpole, custom pole flags come in 2 x 3, 3 x 5, 4 x 6, 4 x 8 and 5 x 10 ft, single or double sided, with a canvas heading and brass grommets. The top and bottom are double stitched and the fly end is quad stitched. A pole and bracket can be added, and prices start at $31.99 for a single sided 2 x 3 ft flag.

Ordering flags in quantity

Buying for several entrances or locations? The quantity price is built into the product page: a 9 ft feather flag kit is $146.07 each at 2 to 10, $141.09 each at 11 to 50 and $132.79 each at 51 to 100. Larger runs are priced better, so ask for a quote above 250 pieces.

One order can ship to several addresses. We split-ship to multiple addresses, including chapter offices and regional event sites, at no additional handling fee.

How ordering works

1. Choose the shape, the height, the kit or print only, the base and single or double sided printing on the product page.
2. Add your artwork on the product page (PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, EPS or SVG, up to 50 MB), or send it after you order by replying to your order email or writing to info@promomogul.com. No artwork yet? For displays, tents, flags and table covers, choose Hire a Designer when you order and a designer builds the artwork from your logo, text and notes. You approve a free digital proof before anything is made.
3. We send a free digital proof. Nothing prints until you approve it, so check spelling, colors and placement there.
4. Production starts on approval. Ships within 2 business days after you approve your proof. Most orders arrive within 10 business days (US lower 48). Shipping is included.
5. You get a tracking number when the order ships.

Catalog sizes can be added to the cart and paid for by card. Anything outside the listed options, or any quantity you want priced properly, goes through a quote. Tight on time? Tell us your event date before you order and we will confirm it works. Need it sooner? Faster shipping is available for an extra charge. Tell us your event date and we will quote it.

We do not accept returns or exchanges. Everything is made to order against artwork you approve, so there is no stock version of it to take back.
