What size canopy tent do you need?

Compare 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20 canopy tents by actual frame dimensions, booth layout, walls and transport needs before choosing your setup.

Your canopy tent needs to fit both the space you book and the way you work. Start with your booth assignment, then sketch the table, products, staff positions and visitor entrance. A tent that covers an empty plot may feel very different once you add furniture and a back wall.

PromoMogul offers 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20 ft custom canopy tents. Those names help you compare the options, but the published frame dimensions matter when space is tight. Use this guide to choose a footprint, plan what goes inside and check the accessories before ordering. For an indoor event, confirm that the organizer permits a canopy and accepts its height and layout.

Match the size to your booth layout

10x10: start with a compact setup

The 10x10 canopy tent has a frame measuring 120 inches wide, 120 inches deep and 137 inches tall. The canopy guide describes it as a standard booth footprint covering 100 square feet.

For a simple layout, sketch a table toward the back or along a side, then mark where staff will stand and visitors will enter. This is a planning example, so measure your actual furniture before committing. Keep stock and bags out of the entrance, and leave space to move behind the table if that is how you will serve visitors.

Do not choose by a crowd estimate alone. A display rack, chairs or a demonstration can change how much usable room you have.

10x15: consider it when you need another activity area

The 10x15 canopy tent has a long side of 175.5 inches, a little under 15 ft, with a short side described as about 10 ft. Consider this option when you want to separate a display from a conversation or demonstration area.

Draw both activities before deciding. Mark the furniture, the space needed to use it and the path between areas. Confirm that your booked plot allows this shape. A longer canopy still needs to fit within the organizer's assigned boundaries.

10x20: plan separate zones, then check every dimension

The 10x20 canopy tent is described in the canopy guide as a double booth option. Its actual frame measures 234.5 inches wide, 126.75 inches deep and 139.25 inches tall.

That depth is especially important: do not assume the nominal 10x20 name guarantees a fit in your assigned space. Check the measurements with the organizer. If the plot works, sketch separate areas for greeting visitors, showing products and handling a demonstration. Keep the route through them clear instead of filling every available corner.

Choose the frame and plan transport

All three sizes use an anodized aluminum frame with a 1.2 mm wall thickness, 1.75 inch hexagonal legs and glass-filled nylon joints. Levers on the legs adjust the height. The canopy is weather resistant 600 denier polyester, printed in full color by dye sublimation. It is not sold as waterproof.

Choose Frame + Canopy for the complete tent, including the printed canopy with valance and a standard carry bag. Printed Canopy Only is for an existing frame; the graphics are made to fit PromoMogul's frame, so check compatibility. Frame Only supplies the bare frame.

Check your vehicle and storage space using the folded measurements:

  • 10x10: about 9 x 63 x 9 inches folded; the listed kit weight is about 40 lbs.
  • 10x15: about 12 x 63 x 9.5 inches folded; the listed frame weight is about 46 lbs.
  • 10x20: about 16.5 x 63 x 9.5 inches folded; the listed frame weight is about 63 lbs.

These weight labels describe different things. Allow for your walls and other equipment when planning what you will carry. A wheeled carry bag is an available upgrade.

Decide what the back wall should do

A full back wall gives you another printed surface behind the booth. Think about whether the message needs to face visitors inside the tent, people approaching from outside, or both. Single-sided walls can face in or out; double-sided walls are printed inside and out.

The full wall for a 10 ft side measures 117 x 79 inches. A half wall measures 117 x 39 inches and hangs from a telescopic rail clamped to the legs. On the 10x15 and 10x20, half walls fit the two 10 ft sides. The 10x20 long-side full wall measures 234 x 79 inches.

Choose the sides you want enclosed while keeping the visitor entrance clear. Walls are optional additions to the individual tents. Check the selected wall sizes and printed faces before approving the artwork.

Include weights in the outdoor plan

Secure the tent outdoors with stakes on grass or soil and sandbags on pavement. The product options offer sandbag sets of four for the 10x10 and 10x15, and six for the 10x20. PromoMogul does not publish a wind rating or a required weight per leg, so confirm the event's anchoring requirements rather than treating the accessory count as a safety specification. Take the tent down in strong wind.
