Canopy Tent Walls Explained: Full, Half, One or Two Sides
Walls turn a canopy into a booth. Full or half walls, one printed side or two, and which sides of a 10x10, 10x15 or 10x20 tent take which wall.
A printed canopy gets you seen from across a field. The walls decide what people see once they are standing in front of you: a closed back that hides the boxes, a half wall that frames a table, or a full wall with your name at eye level.
Full wall or half wall
A full wall closes a whole side of the tent, from the canopy down to the ground. On a 10 ft side it is 117 x 79 in, made of the same 600 denier polyester as the canopy. It fastens to the legs with hook-and-loop straps, and zippers join neighboring walls along their edges.
A half wall is 117 x 39 in and hangs on a rail that clamps to the tent legs. It closes the lower half of a side and leaves the top open, so the booth still feels open and people can see in. A common layout is a full back wall with a half wall on each side.
Printed on one side or both
A single sided wall is printed on one face. You choose whether that face points outside, toward the crowd, or inside, toward your table and your visitors. The choice applies to every single sided wall on the order.
A double sided wall is printed inside and out, so it reads from both directions. It earns its cost on a side wall that faces a busy walkway on the outside and your own booth on the inside.
Which walls fit which tent
- 10 x 10 tent: each of the four sides can take a full wall or a half wall, printed on one side or both.
- 10 x 15 tent: the two 10 ft sides take a full or a half wall. The 15 ft back and front take a full wall.
- 10 x 20 tent: the same pattern. The 10 ft sides take a full or a half wall, and the 20 ft back and front take a full wall, 234 x 79 in.

Adding walls to a tent you already own

What to put on a wall
Walls are the largest flat print area on a tent, and they sit at eye level. A few things that work:
- Keep the logo and the one line that says what you do in the top half of the back wall. A standard 30 in table in front of it hides roughly the bottom third.
- Put your name on the side walls as well, so people walking past at an angle can read it.
- Leave small print for the table cover or a flyer. Text only a few inches tall is hard to read from the aisle.
Wind and setup
Walls catch wind like a sail. Outdoors, secure the frame with stakes or sandbags, and take the tent down in strong wind. Ropes and stakes and a set of sandbags are options on every tent page, in the hardware step.
